unfortunately,i am not good in poems, but Rudyard Kipling wrote a wonderful poem about a cat:

The cat that walked by himself

PUSSY can sit by the fire and sing,
Pussy can climb a tree,
Or play with a silly old cork and string
To'muse herself, not me.
But I like Binkie my dog, because
He knows how to behave;
So, Binkie's the same as the First Friend was,
And I am the Man in the Cave.

Pussy will play man-Friday till
It's time to wet her paw
And make her walk on the window-sill
(For the footprint Crusoe saw);
Then she fluffles her tail and mews,
And scratches and won't attend.
But Binkie will play whatever I choose,
And he is my true First Friend.

Pussy will rub my knees with her head
Pretending she loves me hard;
But the very minute I go to my bed
Pussy runs out in the yard,
And there she stays till the morning-light;
So I know it is only pretend;
But Binkie, he snores at my feet all night,
And he is my Firstest Friend!

Rudyard Kipling

Do you know some poems about cats?
or may be you can write smth yourself?)))
i want to read smth very much!)))

Rainbows, New Zealand has this to say:

My cat. Ever since I got pregnant and had children, I had less time for him and he suffered I think and of course, when my son got to a baby and started pulling his fur and then a toddler who delighted in chasing him about, he resorted to avoiding us like the plague. He is now living with my mum down the road and he always runs away as soon as we arrive.

My oldest son is old enough to give him space, but now I have another baby so it is probably a few years until my cat can relax around us, and I don't know if he will.
But I am happy that he has a nice home with my mum and that when we are not around he can have a peaceful life.

Anyhows, it is of course only a small part of the whole story……. like, for example, the night that I stayed at my friends house and didn't leave my bedroom window open for him, and when I came home he was at the vets with an arm broken in two places, and after a few weeks there, needing it amputated…. with me visiting him every day to cuddle him and feed him as he didn't accept food from the vets….

Oh I did suffer through that one, he seemed to deal with it much easier than I. the first day we let him outside after the amputation, he was up on top of the shed! Well, it stopped his weekly presents of birds anyhow, and it certainly strengthened our bond… He is a beauty. I might be able to rustle up a pic of him.

I think cats can play with mice only as long a their master watches over. They would rather enoy a semi-strangled mouse to play with. Instincts, you know

My neighbour's sausage dog (Dachshund) attacks any cat he sees in the neighbourhood as long as they are running away but one remarkable experience keeps him short of actually biting them.

A white-and-cream-cloured lady in the next house once stood up for her dignity and gave him a nice little scratchy blow on his nose. His wailing could have built up another wall and taught him a very good lesson: cats are cute and cuddly but beware pissing them off.

When I lost my pet I could hardly speak for a fortnight: tears were welling up in my eyes and the voice was failing ready to burst into crying.

I was looking for the answers as to why he should be gone, and with my unwilling help at that. Later I learnt about reincarnation, about how people centuries ago were discussing the issue of whether animals have a soul. At last a ray of hope> They do. And they do come back. Often within our life span.

I shall write more if anyone is interested

FA
