My neighbour's sausage dog (Dachshund) attacks any cat he sees in the neighbourhood as long as they are running away but one remarkable experience keeps him short of actually biting them.
A white-and-cream-cloured lady in the next house once stood up for her dignity and gave him a nice little scratchy blow on his nose. His wailing could have built up another wall and taught him a very good lesson: cats are cute and cuddly but beware pissing them off.
